Technique

1. Take one head pin and place one tear drop crystal bead and one 3mm spacer bead. Start to create a wrapped loop but before closing the loop thread the bottom middle loop of the focal pendant. Repeat this step two more times placing the tear drop the two bottom middle loops of the focal pendant either side of the middle one (use picture left as guide).

2. Take one head pin and place one oval crystal bead and one spacer bead. Start to create a wrapped loop but before closing the loop thread the last bottom left loop of the focal pendant. Repeat this step but threading the bottom last right loop.

3. Take one head pin and thread one tear drop crystal. Finish the head pin with a wrapped loop.

4. Take six head pins and six oval crystal beads. Place a bead on each head pin and finish with a wrapped loop.

5. Divide the tiger tail into two 30cm sections and one 48cm section.

6. Take one wire guardian and thread one of the top loop of focal pendant. Now take one 30cm section of tiger tail and thread the tail through one crimp bead, the wire guardian (still threaded through top connector) and back through the crimp bead. Crimp the crimp bead with your crimping pliers. Take your flat-nose pliers and gently place the crimp cover on top of the crimp to hide

Note for this project you have two sizes in the crimp covers – use the smaller one here

Now thread *one metallic 4x6mm rondelle bead, one oval crystal bead, one metallic 4x6mm rondelle bead, top loop of the beaded-dangle from step 4**, repeat from * to ** two times, one metallic 4x6mm rondelle bead, one oval crystal bead, one 3x4mm metallic rondelle bead, fifteen 8x10mm black rondelle beads and four 8x6mm rondelle beads.

Finish each end of the tiger tail necklace strap by threading a crimp bead and work through one wire guardian, through the crimp bead again and a few beads. Secure by crimping the crimp bead with your crimping pliers (DO NOT USE A CRIMP COVER YET)

7. Repeat step 6 to create the second necklace strap.

8. Start to create the second/ middle tier of the necklace by taking the 45cm section of tiger tail and threading in the middle the tear drop beaded-dangle from step 3. On both sides of the tear drop thread one 3x4mm metallic rondelle bead, one oval bead, one 3x4mm metallic rondelle bead, one oval bead, one 3x4mm metallic rondelle bead, one oval bead and three 3x4mm black rondelle beads.

9. On the main necklace locate the small 3x4mm rondelle bead on each side of the necklace strap (just before the fifteen 8x10mm black rondelle beads – Picture 9A). Now thread each of the open ends of second beaded-section (step 8) through the 3x4mm rondelle bead and the fifteen 8x10mm black rondelle beads (Picture 9b). Adjust the tension so the middle section is sitting comfortable in the middle like the picture
(Picture 9c).

Finish each end of the tiger tail necklace strap by threading a crimp bead and work through one wire guardian, through the crimp bead again and a few beads. Secure by crimping the crimp bead with your crimping pliers (Picture 9d).

10. Take the large crimp cover and one each side cover the crimp bead of the two sections of tiger tail.

11. Take one 6mm jump ring and on the left side thread the two wire guardians and the 15mm ring. Repeat on the other side but instead thread the clasp.
