Technique

1 Create the following beaded-connectors using small eye pins:
A: Eight small beaded-connectors: One 8mm dark blue round bead
Create the following beaded-connectors using medium eye pins:
B: Four spindle beaded-connectors: One spindle bead
C: Fourteen double beaded-connectors: Two 8mm turquoise beads

Beaded-connectors are created by threading the bead or sequence of beads on an eye pin, then trimming the eye pin 1cm from the last bead and forming a loop

2 Create the necklace base by taking 6mm jump rings and joining the beaded-connectors from step 1 and 14mm rings in the following order:
One 1C double beaded-connectors, [one 1A small beaded-connector, two double beaded-connector] x 3, one 1A small beaded-connector, [one 14mm ring, one 1B spindle beaded-connector] x 4, one 14mm ring, [one 1A small beaded-connector, two double beaded-connectors] x 3, one 1A small beaded-connector & 1C double beaded-connectors.

Note Brackets [ ] are also used to enclose a sequence of beaded-connectors that are to be repeated a specified number of times.

Take one 6mm jump ring and attach the clasp to one end of the necklace base. Take one new 6mm jump ring and attach the 8mm twisted close ring to the other side of the necklace base. Now take one more 6mm jump ring and attach the previous twisted ring and one new twisted ring.

3 Take five head pins with ball and five 6mm turquoise beads. Create beaded-dangles by placing a bead on each head pin and finishing with a wrapped loop. Take the 10cm length of chain and find the centre link by folding the chain in half. Take one 4mm jump ring and hang one beaded-dangle from the centre link. *Count four links to the right of the centre link and using a 4mm jump ring hang one more beaded dangle. Now count four more links and hang one more beaded-dangle.** Repeat from 8 to ** but on the left side of the centre link (picture 3A).

Take two 6mm jump rings and use them to attach the chain to the necklace, attaching the chain to the inside of the two outer 14mm rings on the necklace base. Use the picture 3B as a guide.

4 Take one head pin with ball and thread one rose bead. Trim the head pin and finish with a loop. Now take one 6mm jump and hang it off the outside of the right outer 14mm ring. Now take one more 6mm jump ring and hang one feather charm. One the centre 14mm ring use a 6mm jump ring to attach the elephant pendant and on the left outer 14mm ring use a 6mm jump ring to attach the flower charm.
