Long Turquoise & Cobalt beaded Necklace

Materials

1 brass clasp
1 10mm cast metal twisted rings
1 59x38mm cast metal heart filigree boho pendant
8 charms (four styles: elephant, shell, star & asterisks)
1 10×1.5mm brass jump rings
58 6mm brass jump rings
16 brass head pins with ball
24 brass medium eye pins
24 brass small eye pins
96 3 brass mm spacer beads

16 7x5mm Czech glass rondelle beads – Cobalt & turquoise mix
18 4x6mm Imperial rondelle beads – Opaque dark blue
18 4x6mm Imperial rondelle beads – Opaque blue turquoise
10 4x6mm Imperial rondelle beads – Opaque crystal AB
2 4x6mm Imperial rondelle beads – Opaque sky blue
8 6x8mm Imperial rondelle beads – Cobalt Blue
8 6x8mm Imperial rondelle beads – Opal sky blue
8 8mm Turquoise (Synthetic) – Tie dyed effect blue & white

Technique

1 Create the following beaded-connectors using the medium eye pins:
A Eight dark blue beaded-connectors: One 3mm spacer bead, two opaque dark blue 4x6mm rondelle beads & 3mm spacer beads

B Eight blue turquoise beaded-connectors: One 3mm spacer bead, two opaque blue turquoise 4x6mm rondelle beads & 3mm spacer beads

C Eight Czech beaded-connectors: One 3mm spacer bead, two Czech cobalt & turquoise mix 7x5mm rondelle beads & 3mm spacer beads

Create the following beaded-connectors using the small eye pins:

D Eight cobalt beaded-connectors: One 6x8mm cobalt blue rondelle bead

E Eight sky blue beaded-connectors: One 6x8mm opal sky blue 6x8mm rondelle bead

F Eight tie dyed beaded-connectors: One 8mm round tie dyed synthetic turquoise bead

NOTE: Beaded-connectors are created by threading the bead or sequence of beads on an eye pin and finishing the eye pin with a loop.

2 Create the left beaded necklace strap by connecting the beaded connectors from step 1 in the following order:
[One 1C Czech beaded-connector, one 1A dark blue beaded-connector, one 1E sky blue beaded-connector, one 1B blue turquoise beaded-connector, one 1D cobalt beaded-connector, one 1F tie dyed beaded-connector] x 4 and one twisted metal ring

Note Brackets [ ] are also used to enclose a sequence of beaded-connectors that are to be repeated a specified number of times

3 Create the right beaded necklace strap by connecting the beaded connectors from step 1 in the following order:
[One 1B blue turquoise beaded-connector, one 1D cobalt beaded-connector, one 1F tie dyed beaded-connector, one 1C Czech beaded-connector, one 1A dark blue beaded-connector, one 1E sky blue beaded-connector] x 4 and one clasp

4 Take eight head pins with ball, two crystal ab 4x6mm rondelle beads, two opaque sky blue 4x6mm rondelle beads, two opaque dark blue 4x6mm rondelle beads and two opaque blue turquoise 4x6mm rondelle beads. Create beaded-dangles by placing one bead on each head pin and finish each head pin with a wrapped loop (Picture 4A).

Take one 6mm jump ring and attach one beaded-dangle of each colour (Picture 4B).. Take one more 6mm jump ring and thread the top loop of the centre pendant, the previous jump ring and four remaining beaded-dangles (Picture 4C).

Now take one 10mm jump ring and thread the last 6mm jump ring (make sure the beaded-dangles are sitting at the front and the open ends of the beaded-necklace straps from step 2 & 3 (Picture 4D & E).

5 Take eight head pins with ball and eight crystal ab 4x6mm rondelle beads. Create beaded-dangles by placing one bead on each head pin and finish each head pin with a wrapped loop. *Take one 6mm jump ring and thread one beaded-dangle and one charm and attach to one of the jump rings on the necklace strap making sure it sits on the out side.** Repeat from * to ** seven more times attaching the charms on both sides of the necklace straps.
