Technique

1. Divide the chain into 2 x 17-links and 2 x 2-links. The remaining chain you will unlink and use the individual links as jump rings in a latter step.

2. Take 22 x eye pins and 22 x 10/12mm Imperial Crystal rondelles. Place one bead on each eye pin and create beaded connectors by trimming each eye-pin 1cm from the last bead and forming a loop.

3. Using the photo as a guide take 1 x 6mm jump ring and thread one of the top corners of the phoenix pendant and 1 x beaded connector (step 2). *Take one more 6mm jump ring and thread the other side of the beaded connector and one new beaded connector. ** Repeat from * to ** one more time and then take one more 6mm jump ring thread the end of the last beaded connector and 1 x cast metal filigree connector. Take one more 6mm jump ring and thread the other end of the cast metal filigree connector and one new beaded connector. Repeat from * to ** seven more times. Repeat this step to make up the second necklace strap.

4. Using the photo as a guide take one length of the 17-link chain and open the ends of the chain (the same way as you would a jump ring) and attach one end to the side of the cast metal filigree connector and the opposite end to the phoenix connector. Take 4 x head pins and 4 x 4/6mm Imperial Crystal rondelles. Place one bead on each head pin and trim the pin 1cm from the bead. Start to form a loop but before closing attach along the chain. Repeat this step for the other side.

5. Take 1 x eye pin and thread 1 x 4/6mm Imperial Crystal rondelles, 1 x daisy spacer and 1 x 4/6mm Imperial Crystal rondelles. Trim 1cm from the last bead and form a loop. Repeat this step 5 more times so you have in total six two-bead beaded connectors.

6. Take 1 x eye pin and thread 1 x 6mm bicone. Trim 1cm from the last bead and form a loop. Repeat this step so you have in total two bicone beaded connectors.

7. Take 1 x eye pin and thread 1 x 4/6mm Imperial Crystal rondelles, 1 x daisy spacer, 1 x 4mm bicone, 1 x daisy spacer and 1 x 4/6mm Imperial Crystal rondelles. Trim 1cm from the last bead and form a loop. Repeat this step so you have in total two long-beaded connectors.

8. Take your remaining chain and unlink the links to form jump rings. Take one of these links and thread 1 x two-bead beaded connectors (step 5) and one side of the cast metal filigree connector (use your photo as a guide). Take one more chain link and thread the other side of the two-bead beaded connector and one bicone connector. Continue to grow your chain by adding beaded connector in the following order 1 x two-bead beaded connectors, 1x bicone connector, and 1 x two-bead beaded connectors. Take one last link of chain and thread the last beaded connector and the other cast metal filigree connector.

9. Take one section of two-link chain and attach to the side of the cast metal filigree. Open the end link of the section of chain and attach 1 x two-bead beaded connectors. Using the same technique as step 8 continue to add to your chain by adding beaded connector in the following order: 1 x long-beaded connector (step 7), 1 x two-bead beaded connector, 1 x long-beaded connector and 1 x two-bead beaded connector. Take the last section of the two-link chain and thread one end on the newly created beaded chain and the other end on the side of the filigree connector.

10. Take 1 x 6mm jump ring and thread one end of the necklace and 1 x hook. Take the 8mm jump ring and thread the other end of the necklace. Take 1 x head pin and thread the last crystal rondelle. Create a beaded dangle and using a 8mm jump ring attach to the other side of the necklace.
